Welcome to the Geneva Writers Group: a home for writers from around the world "It is the place where I first thought of myself as a writer, and that makes it a kind of home." Bob Byrd Started in 1993 by author Susan Tiberghien, the Geneva Writers Group (GWG) is a non-profit association that brings together 150 writers of diverse backgrounds, cultures, languages and countries. Rooted in Geneva’s international character, the GWG supports aspiring, emerging, and established writers at every stage of their creative journey through inclusive programming, collaborative opportunities, and a shared belief in the transformative power of storytelling. The GWG is run by volunteers and offers, among other opportunities, monthly virtual and in-person writing workshops covering a wide range of genres from September to June, prompt writing, critiquing sessions, contests, book swaps, book clubs, mixers, author Q&As, Agent 1-on-1s, and more. We handpick gifted instructors known for their teaching ability as well as their fine published work. Every two years we organize the international Geneva Writers Conference. This year is the 14th edition and it will take place from the 14th to the 16th of November. Membership is open to all who wish to develop their writing skills. Support is given to both beginning and published writers. Come join us! Read our Statutes. | Upcoming Workshops & Events
